Application Process

1.  Apply online

(Note that this link takes you to the University of Wisconsin System application page. If you are applying to study in our Intensive English Program, please make sure to choose either UW-Marinette or UW-Marshfield/Wood County as your campus)

2.  Pay the US $50 application fee

3.  Submit the following scanned documents by e-mail to international@uwc.edu.

  • Passport identification page
  • All secondary school (high school) records
    • These must be in both the language of instruction and official English translation, and must include the following:
      • Grade reports for all years of secondary school
      • Any diploma or certificate earned; and any record of secondary school exit exams
  • All post-secondary records
    • These must be in both the language of instruction and official English translation, and must include the following:
      • Transcripts for academic credit earned from every college, university, trade or professional school after secondary school
  •  Proof of English proficiency
    • This may be demonstrated with a TOEFL, IELTS, or iTEP test score report, or with an official recommendation letter from one of our partner English schools.
      • Submit TOEFL scores using code number 1888
        • TOEFL: Minimum score for consideration
          • 500 paper-based
          • 61 internet-based
      • IELTS: 5.5
      • iTEP: 4.0
  • Financial documentation
    • This must show a minimum of US $23,150 and can be any of the following:
      • An account statement from a personal bank account
      • An account statement from a sponsor's bank account and a completed Financial Verification Form
      • A scholarship award letter
  • International Student Health Insurance Authorization Form

4.  Submit the following original documents by mail:

  • All secondary and post-secondary school records (as listed above)
    • These must be original or officially certified copies.
  • Proof of English proficiency (as listed above)
    • This must be sent directly from the school or testing authority.
