UW Colleges Financial Aid
Completing Online Direct Loan Entrance Counseling
ALL students, both new and continuing, at the University of Wisconsin Colleges must complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling before any Federal Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loan monies may be released.
Federal student aid regulations require Federal Direct Loan borrowers to undergo Loan Entrance Counseling. This serves as a means to educate you on the rights and responsibilities associated with receiving funds that must be repaid. The UW Colleges Student Financial Aid Office offers an online Direct Loan Entrance Counseling session for its students to meet this requirement.
To avoid delays in the receipt of Direct Loan funds, you are encouraged to complete Loan Entrance Counseling at least 10 days prior to the beginning of your first term of enrollment.
