Part-Time Spanish Lecturer for Fall 2011

UW-Baraboo/Sauk County

The University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County and the University of Wisconsin Colleges World Languages Department invite applications for a part-time instructor (rank of Associate Lecturer, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer depending on educational background and experience) for Fall 2011.  The UW-Baraboo/Sauk County campus is one of 13 campuses that comprise the UW Colleges (www.uwc.edu), a freshman-sophomore transfer institution within the UW System. The UW Colleges offer an excellent liberal arts and pre-professional education for students beginning work toward a bachelor’s degree. UW-Baraboo (www.baraboo.uwc.edu) is about 45 miles north of Madison on Highway 12 in Sauk County.

Position/Course Descriptions

Fall 2011 (2.0 contact hours)

  • Teach one lecture section of SPA 104

SPA 104  First Semester Spanish  -  Part II

Continuation of SPA 103 and second module of a two-part introductory sequence. Field trip may be required. (This course in combination with SPA 103 is equivalent to SPA 101  -  Spanish I.)

Lecture meets:  Monday and Wednesday 4:00-4:50 p.m.

Qualifications

Candidate should have a minimum of a Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Spanish. Teaching experience at the university level is strongly desired.

Starting Date

Contract starts on August 26, 2011 and classes begin on September 6, 2011.
