Assistant Professor of Communication & Theatre Arts
The University of Wisconsin Colleges Department of Communication and Theatre Arts invites applications for an Assistant Professor on its University of Wisconsin-Rock County campus. The University of Wisconsin Colleges (http://www.uwc.edu/) is comprised of 13 freshman- sophomore campuses, dispersed geographically across the state, providing a 2-year associate’s degree curriculum for transfer within the UW System.
The growing UW-Rock County campus enrolls nearly 1300 students and is located on 50 rolling acres on the southwest side of Wisconsin’s City of Parks, Janesville, and includes a new state-of- the-art Engineering Center, library, classrooms and computer labs. The campus is currently experiencing rapid growth, owing in part to collaborative degree programs in nursing and engineering. With an emphasis on small classes and individualized student attention, UW-Rock County offers outstanding liberal arts education at the freshman-sophomore level. The largest city in the county, Janesville has a small-town feel and, with nearby Beloit and the other smaller Rock County communities, provides ample opportunities for recreation, education and entertainment. In addition, the added convenience of the urban amenities are within easy driving distance in Madison (40 miles), Milwaukee (85 miles), Rockford (30 miles) and Chicago (100 miles). See http://rock.uwc.edu/ for more information about the campus and community.
