The Campus:
The UW Colleges is the freshman-sophomore transfer institution within the UW System. UW Colleges functions as a unit that comprises thirteen two-year campuses, each of which offers an excellent liberal arts and pre-professional education for students beginning work toward a bachelor's degree.
Responsibilities:
This is a limited term 50% position under the general supervision of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Services and Enrollment Management. The person in this position works under the program direction of designated staff in the UW Colleges Student Financial Aid Office. This position has responsibility for the following projects:
- Provide general administrative support and project coordination for the implementation of the applicable provisions of the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 [Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act of 1965 HEA].
- Design and implement a communication plan that creates a smooth transition for campus staff and students from bank-based student lending to federal direct lending.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret federal regulations and related resources.
- Computer competency in MS Office software including WORD, Outlook e-mail and calendar, PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets and the ability to easily learn new computer applications.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work independently with only moderate supervision and direction.
Salary:
