Search @UW is Experiencing System Issues
Our new Search @UW system is experiencing some system issues. The UW System implementation team, various schools IT departments and the vendor are working on this to try to get the issue resolved as soon as possible. Most of the issues have to do with searching and requesting books. If you prefer, you can always use our Voyager interface, while we get these issues resolved.
JoVE Science Education : video database designed for first time lab students and split into three collections; 1. General Lab Techniques, 2. Basic Methods in Cellular and Molecular Biology, 3. the 3rd section will be announced in December or January. (please ignore message on website stating that we do not have subscription access to any sections. We have access to all sections for the trial) Trial ends Dec. 31st.
Films on Demand - Nursing Collection: video database designed to not just help nursing students excel in their studies and pass licensure exams, but also to prepare them for long-term job success in an increasingly complex health care system. Subjects covered include; Nursing Foundations, Patient Care and Interventions, Nursing Skills, Diseases, Disorders and Disabilities, Special Topics in Nursing, Non-Technical Skills. Trial ends Dec. 12th.
GeoRef - ProQuest platform (requires username and password, please contact your local librarian) Trial ends Dec. 1st.
GeoRef - EBSCOhost platform Trial ends Nov. 29th
The GeoRef database, established by the American Geosciences Institute (AGI) in 1966, provides access to the most comprehensive geoscience literature of the world. GeoRef contains millions of references to geoscience maps, serial, and non-serial literature. The database includes references to all publications of the U.S. Geological Survey. Master's theses and doctoral dissertations from US and Canadian universities are also covered. Coverage for North American resources starts in 1669, whereas worldwide coverage starts in 1933
