Chancellor to Participate in UW-Waukesha Veterans Day Event

Ray Cross is Vietnam vet

WAUKESHA - The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha plans on honoring its student and staff veterans at noon Friday, Nov. 11 in the Commons at its second annual Veterans Day ceremony.

The ceremony will feature UW Colleges andUW- Extension Chancellor Ray Cross, a Vietnam veteran himself, delivering an opening address on the veterans who have influenced his life.

In addition, a choral group led by music Professor Nancy Van Brunt will sing the national anthem; history Professor Tim Thering will explain the history of Veterans Day and student veterans will pay tribute to their personal “heroes,” veterans who they want to honor as being worthy of recognition.
