MADISON, Wis. – Ray Cross, the chancellor of University of Wisconsin Colleges and University of Wisconsin-Extension, today released the names of the candidates for campus executive officer / dean at UW-Rock County. The finalists are:

Dr. James E. Sayer served as Dean of Wright State University, Lake Campus from 2007-2010. Prior to that position, he was the chair of the department of communications. Dr. Sayer earned his doctorate in speech at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, his master’s degree in speech at the University of Arizona and his bachelor’s degree in history at Northern Arizona University.

Dr. Donna Hilton Stewart is currently the interim dean in the College of Management at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Prior to her current position, she was the associate dean from 2009-11. Dr. Stewart earned her doctorate in vocational education-marketing emphasis from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, her master’s degree in business administration/operations management and her bachelor’s degree in business administration/business finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Dr. Carmen R. Wilson is currently the chief of staff and affirmative action officer at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Prior to her current position, she was the assessment coordinator from 2004-08 and faculty senate chair from 2005-2008. Dr. Wilson earned her doctorate and master’s degree in counseling psychology and her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Iowa State University.

Campus visits will be scheduled for each of the finalists in September, so they can meet with faculty, staff, students and community members. The schedule will be posted on the UW-Rock County CEO/dean search website http://www.uwc.edu/deansearch2/rck/ when it is finalized.

In October, Chancellor Cross will name the new UW-Rock County campus executive officer/dean. The next CEO/dean will succeed Diane Pillard, who retired in June 2011. Kim Kostka currently serves as interim CEO/dean.

UW-Rock County is part of the University of Wisconsin Colleges, the UW System’s network of 13 freshman/sophomore campuses and UW Colleges Online that offers an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree and prepares students of all ages and backgrounds for baccalaureate and professional programs. The CEO /dean is the chief operating officer and chief academic officer of the campus.
